There are two common flows for a school and student:
- School sign up student flow (more manual but higher conversion rates)
- Student self-sign up flow (automated but higher drop out rates)
OPTION 1 - SCHOOL SIGN UP STUDENT FLOW
The student would signup and pay for an account on your website.
You would then have the student details needed to create the new student account:
- Classes purchases (e.g. 10 credits)
It then takes about 30 seconds to create the student from our Student Dashboard page inside the School Admin panel and manually add the initial class credits.
Finally, share the link and login information with the student via email.
e.g. "Hi there,
Thanks for joining the Language company. You can access your account here [and link to "tutorcompany.live-online-classes.com] ).
Your login details are:
Once inside, simply click Book a class.
See you soon,
The Language company
OPTION 2 - STUDENT SELF SIGN UP FLOW
However, if you decide to have a self-sign up flow. This is what it could look like.
After clicking 'Student login' from your website, the student follows "Mikey" our automated setup wizard to help the student to enter their important information.
Let's follow our student, Kate, and her customer journey...
Mikey will ask your student their location, native language, what subject they wish to learn, their ability, etc
This automatically fills in your database, so you don't have to.
As Kate would not have any classes, when she tries to book a class, she will be automatically prompted to the school's pricing page.
The student will then pay via credit card or Paypal.
Our system will automatically update the student's credits and the student will be able to book more classes.
Checkout this video that shows how a student book classes via the Online School.
DASHBOARD AND UPCOMING CLASSES
In our example, Kate has next booked a class successfully.
She can enter their virtual classroom before it starts by clicking the blue Enter Class button
To make it even easier, the system automatically sends Kate a reminder email before the class starts.
Once Kate has entered the class, she can view and interact with the LearnCube whiteboard or ask questions via the chat bar.
Usually the teacher will be waiting for your students inside the class to start the lesson on-time.
Once the teacher has finished teaching, Kate clicks Leave Class
Kate will have one of her classes used up, your admin system will reconcile the new balance of classes and everyone leaves with a smile on their face.
