In our ongoing commitment to improving the virtual classroom experience for educators and students alike, we are excited to introduce a new feature: the One-Click Mute. This functionality is designed to provide teachers with greater control over their classrooms, ensuring a more focused and manageable learning environment.
Feature Overview
The One-Click Mute feature allows teachers to mute all students in a virtual classroom with a single click. This option becomes visible when five or more students are in the room, regardless of the overall class size. This element is designed to help manage larger groups efficiently and ensure that the learning process is not disrupted by background noise or unintended interruptions.
Key Details
Visibility of the Mute Button:
The mute-all button automatically appears when five or more students are in the main virtual classroom. When the number of students drops below five, the option will not be available.
When there are five students or more, the "Reload Video Connection" button will be replaced by a wheel icon. Clicking on this wheel will present the option to mute all students, along with the option to reload the video connection.
How to Use the One-Click Mute Feature
Accessing the Feature:
When five or more students are present, the One-Click Mute button will appear on the teacher's video box menu.
The "Reload Video Connection" button will transform into a wheel icon, which, when clicked, will provide both the mute-all option and the reload video connection option.
Muting All Students:
Click the mute button within the wheel menu to silence all students simultaneously.
Handling Late Arrivals:
If a new student joins the class after the mute button has been pressed, simply click the mute/unmute button again to include the latecomer in the muted group.
Benefits of the One-Click Mute Feature
Enhanced Focus: By muting all students simultaneously, teachers can quickly regain control of the classroom and direct attention to the lesson or important announcements.
Streamlined Classroom Management: The ease of muting and unmuting students with one click reduces the time teachers spend managing audio settings, allowing for a more seamless teaching experience.
Flexibility and Control: Teachers maintain full control over the audio environment, ensuring that the classroom remains conducive to learning while still allowing students the freedom to participate when needed.
Student Autonomy: Students who have been muted by the teacher can still unmute themselves when they need to speak, ensuring their ability to participate in the discussion remains intact
