The main reason that face to face teaching so so effective - either online or in a physical classroom - is that you provide personal accountability and inspire confidence in your students to try.

The days of lecturing students is over. A video can do that. Teaching is about getting your students participating and engaged.

The LearnCube virtual classroom is purpose built for teaching and interacting with students.

Here's a couple of ideas...

1) Insert a PDF or embed Google Doc into the whiteboard and ask your student to practice an exercise in front of you

2) Play an entertaining hosted video or YouTube video in the whiteboard, pause, talk about it and control the pace of the class

3) Play a relevant audio clip or sound bite that will help a student learn. This is particularly helpful for listening comprehension.
