Your Library Admin section makes it easy to manage all of your lesson materials in one place. You can upload files
to the library and delete files
here or inside the classroom.
You can also manage the file's properties, which will make it easier for you and your teachers to find the files they need inside the classroom.
File overview
To see an overview of a file's properties:
Click on the file name. This will open the file properties panel on the right side of the Library Admin.
Here you can preview the file and
edit its properties
. [anchor]To preview the file, click on the preview button at the bottom of the properties panel. This will open up the file preview window. Files viewed here will always have a watermark. This means that students and teachers will be able to view the file, but not easily copy or download it.
Updating File Properties
Only the folder owner can edit the properties of uploaded lesson materials.
This means you can give teachers access to your files, but they won't be able to edit them without your knowledge.
To edit the file's properties:
Click on the edit button in the file list or at the bottom of the file properties panel.
This will open up the edit window, where you can update the file's title, description, category, subject, language, and level.
Title | The name of the file. This is the most useful for |
Description | A description of the file will show up when teachers hover their mouse over the information symbol on the file when browsing in the classroom. |
Subject / Language | Depending on your school's settings, you will be able to set either the custom subject or language of this file. |
Category | Depending on your school's settings, you may be able to add lesson category information |
Level | This will set the file's level, again this is very helpful for teachers to filter and find materials in class. |
Important: Uploaded files cannot be downloaded from the online library. This safeguards school copyright materials and maintains the library's role as a collaborative resource for the online school community.
