The text tool in the whiteboard allows the user flexibility to add text in different font formats.

We have the option to use the default plain font, but you can also use it in bold, italics, underline, and strikethrough:

You can select the type of font you want to use before writing, or you can edit the text afterwards.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • When you write a sentence or paragraph and are done with that body of text, do not forget to click outside the text box before moving to another tab. This way, your text will be saved.

  • If you want to edit a text, let's say from the default font to bold: write the text and click outside the text box, then reselect the text to edit, and finally select the "bold" tool, and your text will be successfully edited.

  • Even though there's only one font size, you can enlarge the whole text box for better visibility and also move the text around the whiteboard.

  • You can also select different colours to write, and to do this, you can click on the "select colour" tool at the top of the tool column.

  • Do not forget the text you add works as a single block of text, so remember to click outside the text box before switching to another tool or editing it.
